Child safety standards
Last updated: October 15, 2026
Looplet has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page explains what is prohibited, how to report it, and what we do when we receive a report.
What is prohibited
On Looplet, no one may share, request, or link to:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), in any form, including drawn, edited or AI-generated images.
- Any content that sexualizes a minor, including sexualized comments, captions or voice replies.
- Grooming: contacting or befriending a minor to sexually exploit them.
- Sextortion: threatening a minor, or anyone, to obtain sexual images, money or other favors.
- Trafficking or commercial sexual exploitation of a minor.
These rules are part of our Terms. Looplet is not for children under 13; we ask for a birth year at sign-up and do not let younger people create an account.
How to report
In the app: open the menu on a photo, press and hold a message, or open the menu in a chat to report the person; tap Report and choose a reason. The item is hidden from you right away and sent to our team for review. You can also block the person.
By email: write to [email protected] with the subject “Child safety report”. Include the Loop name or the person's display name and what you saw. Please do not attach or forward the images themselves.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency number first. You can also report CSAM directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline or to a hotline in your country listed by INHOPE.
What we do
- Every child safety report is reviewed by a person on our team, with priority over other reports.
- Content that breaks these standards is removed, and the account that shared it is permanently banned.
- We report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant regional and national authorities, as the law requires.
- We preserve the reported content and related account information securely, and share it only with law enforcement or NCMEC as required by law.
- We cooperate with law enforcement requests made through valid legal process.
Built-in protections
- Looplet is for sharing with a few people you already know. There is no public feed, no search for strangers, and no way to message someone who is not in one of your Loops.
- People join a Loop only with an invite code from a member.
- Anyone can report content or block a person at any time.
- Location data is removed from photos before they are sent.
