FAQ
Questions, answered
What do I need to use Looplet?
An iPhone with iOS 17 or later, or an Android phone with Android 8.0 or later. You sign in with your phone number and a password, or with Sign in with Apple on iPhone. You need to be 13 or older.
How many people can be in a Loop?
It depends on the kind of Loop: Couple is for 2 people, Besties and custom Loops up to 10, Family and Friends up to 20. Just me is only you. Besides Friends, you can create up to 3 Loops of your own.
Who can see my photos?
Only the members of the Loops you choose when you send. Photos in Just me are visible to you alone. There are no public profiles, followers or public feed.
How do I add a widget for a Loop?
Add a Looplet widget to your Home Screen and pick the Loop it shows; add one widget per Loop. On iPhone, widgets come in small, medium and large (iOS 18 and later asks for the Loop right away; on iOS 17, touch and hold the widget and choose Edit Widget). On Android, Looplet asks for the Loop as you place the widget, and you can resize it.
How do invites work?
Each Loop has an invite link (looplet.plus/i/…) and a 6-character code. Share the link from the app, or pick people from Contacts, which stay on your phone. Your friend taps the link to open Looplet; someone new to Looplet signs up first, then enters the code when Looplet asks “Do you have an invite?”.
Can I use the same account on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Sign in with the same phone number and password, and your Loops, photos and chats come with you.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Me, scroll down and tap Delete account, then confirm. You can also request deletion by email.
Which languages does Looplet speak?
Looplet is available in 19 languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese (Brazil), Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Hindi, Indonesian, Thai, Vietnamese and more. You can switch the language inside the app.
Can people see when I’m typing or have read their message?
Only if you let them. With “Typing and seen” on, the person you chat with sees “…” while you type (never the words) and “Seen” once you have read their message. Turn it off in Me and they see neither.
Can I take back a message?
Yes. Within 15 minutes of sending, touch and hold your message and choose Unsend: it disappears for both of you. Any message, or a whole chat, can also be deleted on your side only.
